About Abby Lee
Abby Lee currently serves as Deputy General Counsel for the Texas Real Estate Commission. Prior to joining TREC, Abby worked as in-house counsel for Texas REALTORS® for nearly eight years, serving first as Associate Counsel, then Senior Associate Counsel. Most recently, Abby served as an assistant general counsel for the Texas Medical Association. Abby graduated with honors from the University of Kansas in 2007 and received her JD from Baylor Law School in 2011.
About Vanessa Burgess
Vanessa Burgess serves as the General Counsel for the Texas Real Estate Commission. Ms. Burgess earned her B.A. in Spanish at Kenyon College and her J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law. She began her legal career with the State of Texas working at the Office of the Attorney General. Next, she worked in the Office of General Counsel for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department where she oversaw two large land trusts dedicated to serving underprivileged children in Texas. Prior to joining the team at TREC, Ms. Burgess served as the Deputy General Counsel for the Railroad Commission of Texas.
